Shari O’Rourke — Administrative Assistant & Church Treasurer
Treasurer, Shari O’Rourke joined our staff in 2018. In January, 2024, Shari extended her role as Administrative Assistant.

Erin Connors — Music Director
Since September 2015, Erin Connors has served as our Music Director – leading our choir and coordinating our music ministry.

The entire life of the local church is under the oversight and supervision of the Session. The Session is composed of the Pastor, and all the Ruling Elders on active service. All Elders are responsible for reading the Book of Order.

The Deacons of Venice Church provide love and support to our congregation in addition to the needs of our neighbors and loved ones. Whether we are making meals to show people that they are loved, sending cards, keeping in touch with our elderly, helping out a family going through a rough time such as a death/financial difficulties or coordinating a luncheon for our congregation, we are an active group serving our Lord.

The Budget & Finance Committee provides oversight and stewardship of all financial resources. This committee ensures funds are managed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with the church’s mission and values. The committee is made of ruling elders, trustees, deacons, pastor, treasurer and several members at large. New members are always welcome.

The Christian Education Committee is responsible for the Christian education of Venice Presbyterian Church. Our team consists of a ruling elder, our adult and child teachers, and Pastor. Our goal is to help make disciples through teaching and mentoring our students and congregants.

The Outreach Committee is responsible for making relationships in our community, hopefully leading them to VPC for discipleship training. Our team consists of a ruling elder and members of the congregation at large. Our goals are to build ministries that help make relationships with people in our local communities.
The purpose of the Personnel Committee is to ensure that Venice Church hires and maintains talented individuals for various full- and part-time ministry and staff positions. The Committee is comprised of two Elders, two Trustees, and at least one member of the congregation.
The purpose of the Vision & Planning Committee is to assist in long and short range planning for church communication and overall functioning of ministries.
