Shari O’Rourke — Administrative Assistant & Church Treasurer
Treasurer, Shari O’Rourke joined our staff in 2018. In January, 2024, Shari extended her role as Administrative Assistant.

Erin Connors — Music Director
Since September 2015, Erin Connors has served as our Music Director – leading our choir and coordinating our music ministry.

The entire life of the local church is under the oversight and supervision of the Session. The Session is composed of the Pastor, and all the Ruling Elders on active service. All Elders are responsible for reading the Book of Order.

The Deacons of Venice Church provide love and support to our congregation in addition to the needs of our neighbors and loved ones. Whether we are making meals to show people that they are loved, sending cards, keeping in touch with our elderly, helping out a family going through a rough time such as a death/financial difficulties or coordinating a luncheon for our congregation, we are an active group serving our Lord.

The Budget & Finance Committee ensures that appropriate budgetary amounts are available for all of the ministry and missions activities at Venice Church.
The Christian Education Committee oversees Children’s Church; Children’s and Adult Sunday School classes; the library; Vacation Bible School; and Bible studies. Committee members select, nurture and support teachers and leaders, and recruit members with appropriate gifts to give leadership to projects.
The Missions committee oversees the missions supported by the church.

The Outreach Committee coordinates events that reach out into the community.
The purpose of the Personnel Committee is to ensure that Venice Church hires and maintains talented individuals for various full- and part-time ministry and staff positions. The Committee is comprised of two Elders, two Trustees, and at least one member of the congregation.
The purpose of the Vision & Planning Committee is to assist in long and short range planning for church communication and overall functioning of ministries.
The purpose of the Worship Committee is to plan acceptable worship of God corporately in accordance to The Holy Scriptures, The Reformed Traditions and the Book of Worship of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
